COMMANDER'S MESSAGE
First I would like to welcome two new members to our Chapter - Patriot John Sauceda, U.S.M.C. and Steve M. Zozaya, Co. G 158 Infantry Brigade. It is so nice when members are coming in and signing up with the MOPH.
Also, we will be discussing the upcoming Veterans Day Parade at our next meeting to be held on October 15th. Patriot Suddarth has already entered Chapter 422 to be a part of the parade. There will be a color guard, plus vehicles to carry members of our Chapter. The Ladies will also ride in these vehicles. We must never leave our Auxiliary Ladies out, as they are the ones who do many things for our Chapter - even serving coffee and donuts at our meetings. Thank you Ladies!
I also received a list of ROTC schools that have been assigned to us. A total of nine (9) at this time, plus four (4) additional rural schools up in northern Arizona. We will discuss this issue at a later date.
Don't forget October 23rd, as on that day, we will be having the annual "All Veterans Support Our Troops Rally" to be held on the State Capital grounds. Please see the announcement in this newsletter. Meanwhile, don't forget our monthly meetings - the third Friday of every month.
Walk in Peace.
Stan Lomayesva, Chapter 422

CHAPLAIN'S PEW
At our September meeting we paid tribute to the departed patriots Past Commander Frank Kulikowski, Kent Ware, Sr., Mike Kiyanni and Rodney L. Smith. Taps were played in their memory. Gone, but not forgotten, may they rest in peace!
Robert E. Crawford, once our fellow patriot, said to me during our telephone conversation that he would renew his membership to become a Patriot again.
There is going to be a big flagpole dedication on November 11. I understand it's a Navajo doing.
If there were any new members that became Patriots and I overlooked you name, I'm sorry.
I hope you health is improving daily. In case you are home sick or will be in a hospital, do let someone notify me, especially in case of death.
If you had a birthday or an anniversary or will have one, we all wish you a happy one.
Keeping all of you in my daily prayers.
Patriot Chaplain, Al Radlinski

FINANCE OFFICER'S REPORT
Financially, Chapter 422 is in decent shape with a balance of $5814.08.
Our number one source of funds is the annual Viola Drive that is held each spring at Luke Air Force Base. We need to do whatever is necessary to ensure that our chapter will continue to be approved as an authorized fund raising group at the base. To that end, we have commissioned a beautiful plaque to be presented to Mr. Ted Warlick who was our contact person at the base this spring. Our associate member Sgt. Michael Fowler, active duty USAF, has been chosen to formally present the plaque to Mr. Warlick. We appreciated you help Sgt. Mike!
