ARC Veterans Club

March 2005

Hi!! Back again with news of activities scheduled for March. Try to make some of them. You will be glad if you do, as I'm sure you will.

On the 12th, our monthly dance will be for St. Patrick's Day. Come green and dance the night away with your favorite Leprechaun- music by Danny Kealey's band and as usual, BYOB & glasses. Refreshments will be served. Tickets are $7 per person.

On the 29th, we will be performing the Evolution of the American Flag at the Phoenix Country Club for the Daughters of Great Briton living in the United States. It should be very interesting to see their reaction as the United States flag evolves from the British Flag.

Easter is fast approaching and plans for Post #64 to lead the parade (as usual) are in progress. March 26th is the day and the parade route is on 48th Street for Warner Road north to Cheyenne Drive and into the Recreation Center for our contingent. This year there will be a float from the Rec Center following us. It begins at 10 AM. This year we will again have the Akimel Middle School band marching with us and then they will be in concert at the Rec Center form 1 PM till 2PM. In the meantime, volunteers will be serving hot dogs and cokes. So come one, come all and join the fun and see your Post Color Guard in action. Everyone is invited.

It is time for Boys State again. Every year Post #64 sends four boys to NAU to study and learn how our government operates. Two candidates are selected for Mountain Pointe HS and two for Desert Vista HS. They reside on campus for two weeks. You will have additional information in our next monthly letter.

Membership

We have not hit our membership goal for 2005 as yet. Please send your dues in as fast as possible. I have underlined the top of this letter for those of you that may have missed sending it in.

Our Next meeting will be March 16, 2005 at the Rec Center at 3 PM. Try to make it and meet your fellow members.
