ARC Veterans Club
November 2004
Hi!!! Back again with more news, most of which I hope is true. We have lots of activities which I wish more of our members were able to take advantage of. Try to get involved and have some fun.
Membership
We have reached 80% of our year 2005 goal. If you don't have a card for year 2005, dues can be paid at this time as we are trying to hit 100% by December 1st. Our membership is still growing but there are still veterans at the Rec. Center that are not members of the post. Make it a point to ask them to join. At the monthly October meeting, members Sidney W. Blakeway with 59 years continuous membership and William L. Kramer with 53 years continuous membership were granted an Honorary Membership for Life.

For all of those members with a computer, we have a web site. Our monthly newsletter will not only be in the mail but will also be on the web. If you misplace or lose your newsletter just boot up the computer. I know the above is a long web site but just do it once then click save and enter it in your favorites. From then on just one click on your favorite will bring it up. This web site is courtesy of member Jr. Vice Commander Tom Smith.
The Rec. Center has a travel club and if you would like to participate in any of the Center's activities, please contact Charles Roloff at 480-893-3374. A travel schedule for the coming year is enclosed and will be updated constantly. You may not be interested at the moment but please put the schedule on your bulletin as a reminder of future trips. If in case of a trip being overbooked, Rec. Center members will take precedence over non-members. This rarely happens.
Post Everlasting
This year has been a bad year for Post #64 and I hope the trend ends soon. I hate to report we lost Dallis Mullins last month. Enough is enough!!!
Our regularly scheduled Post #64 meeting will be November 17th 3 PM at the Rec. Center. There will be a short movie of former member Les Tenney's memorial of the dedication of the WWII Memorial on May 29th in Washington DC. Performed at his new home in La Costa Glen. Everyone is invited.
Until our next meeting, Peace be with you.
